Health insurance
« on: August 15, 2015, 02:35:41 am »
It is tuff these days to go to the doctor due to high insurance. My insurance is
deductible based for doctors visits and perscriptions, so I do not get
any script or go to the doctors office until i have some
Estimate of what it may cost.

I miss the days where i did not have to worry about that. I hope we change
Our employer insurance again soon.

I have really good insurance, but I know what you are talking about. When I was looking for a plan for my daughter because she reached 23, still in college, but had to come off our Tricare, there was no plan out there that covered much of anything and the premiums were crazy. We ended up leaving her on our Tricare and paying full price. At least it's good insurance, but we are paying way too much, but still less than the other plan would have been.

I thank God that I haven't needed to go to the doctor other than the routine stuff!

Luckily, I have really good health insurance through my employer right now. I only have $5 copays for regular visits and $25 for ER visits. My health insurance is one of the only things I like about my job. I'm planning on moving to another state though in maybe a year or two, so I don't know how my health insurance will be then, since I'll have to get a new job.

I've been fortunate too with relatively few health issues over my lifetime...and thankfully it wasn't a requirement until now.

The whole insurance system is a scam.

Doctor had me do! I'll be broke in no Time.

I'm lucky that I still only pay a copay to go to the doctors ... but then again I pay thru the nose monthly for it .. but the alternative was to change to a deductible plan which I thought would be worse.

Ugh. Don't even get me started on health insurance... My deductible is $6,000. My daughter broke her wrist and all of the expenses (to the tune of almost $3000) was out of pocket. Insurance in this country is terrible! 10 year ago I remember paying about the same amount for coverage and most everything was covered after a co-pay. SUCKS. :-\

Health Insurance is a big issue now days.  I have medicare with United Health Care and am pretty comfortable with it.  There aren't many doctors who don't take United Health Care.

Over the past few years our insurance cost has gone up along with our deductible. The coverage is good but expensive. Hopefully it will stabilize.

My insurance is pretty good because my husband works in a big company.

I hate not being able to make an appointment with my doctor. I think I might have an ear infection but cant see my docot r so if I go to a walgreens minute clinic I pay more than my copay which is 25 dollars.
