Who should you blame the parents or the child?

let's see, first you should blame the boy that ever came into her life. if the parent done what they had to do and they made sure they were strict enough and made sure that their child had enough knowledge about the situation then it is completely the child's fault.  ::)  but it could be the parents's fault just a little tiny bit sometimes.  :dontknow:

How young are you talking??
I got pregnant when I was 17, I was an unwed mother. I knew what I was doing and there for kept my beautiful child. If you want to judge me or my parents thats fine. Until you walk a mile in someone elses shoes dont be judgemental!!! I praise them (Young, single moms), not for getting pregnant BUT for not having an abortion.  And I praise the parents more for being supportive. I know first hand how hard it is as I seen my parents struggle with my 17 year old butt being pregnant. Did they give up on me, NO. Should they have turned their backs on me, well that would just determine that my parents didnt have faith in me nor love me.  :angry7: Your question is just a tad bit ignorant on your part. Do you know any unwed, young single parents? Have you gotten to know them and the grandparents first hand? I bet you probably answered NO to atleast one of those questions.

This never happened to me.  But until you walk a mile in someelse's shoes, who are you to judge anyone? There are many women out there with different baby fathers and yes many don't even know who the fathers are and NOT living on welfare.  Just look at some of these so called celebrities.  Stop trying to play God, you don't qualify.

I am wondering what you consider a "young" single mom...I had my daughter when I was 20.  I was unwed (still am),  but have been with her dad the whole time.  Im 25 now and we also have a 2 year old son.  Both were a complete surprise as I was on the depo shot when I got pregnant with both!  Would I have changed it... no.

We have had some hard times, but lucky enough I have not had to work since my daughter was born.  I even managed to go through a course at the community college online getting my certificate in Medical transcription.  Things can be done if you put your mind to it.  Things can be tight but we have always managed somehow!

I see too many disgusting girls at my school getting pregnant.
If you use the words, "It's my baby and I'll do what I want with it," you should not be having a baby.
If you don't have the income to raise a child or means to get that income you should not be having a baby. You are setting yourself and the baby up for a harder life than you both should have.

I was never been a single mom but I have so many friends that are single moms. I'd say, everyone has its own decision to make, no one's to be blamed. 16, 17, 18 whatever age it is, they're the one's making their own decision and face the circumstances in the future.

I had my daughter when I was 19 and my son at 20. I was not married when I had them. However, I am still with the father today. We supported our kids and we still do even though they are both over the age of 18 now. I even have twin grandsons that we help to support as well. I dont think it is right for anyone to judge someone else's decision as long as it does not affect them personally. There are even some married couples that were married when they had kids that suddenly found themselves on the welfare rolls. Do we judge them too?
