Summertime is pretty noisy.  I never realized how much until now, when I try to put my son down for a nap! children out for the summer playing, vehicles, lawn mower that loud ice cream truck  so much lol.

:) Yep, but it is better to be able to hear than unable to hear the sounds.  :)

The loud hum of the AC drowns out any sounds around here and outside is all ac's humming along.  I wish you could stand to open the windows or that being outside wasn't so miserable (unless your in a pool) but that's summer in the hot and steamy south!

That's a true sign of summer. Luckily it's been pretty quiet around the neighborhood but it's still pretty hot out. But since its the 4th of July we will be hearing the fireworks go off this evening.

Lol...Yup, and the sound of crickets at night and birds chirping in the morning.

The ice cream truck started driving around our neighborhood in April. I couldn't believe they were starting that early. But I know what you mean. The neighbors across the street have some kids who love to scream. I would say tonight is especially noisy but they've been setting off their big fireworks around here since the 2nd.

How old is your son? I've had to keep the windows closed cause the birds chirping and dogs barking wakes my 16 month old up all the time! It's very annoying. I wish the icecream truck came by this way though.

Because of the heat, we have the AC on and windows up so it's been pretty quiet. But as far as noise goes, it's pretty much the same all year round.

I love the loud noises the birds and frogs make for the summer.

Maybe have a fan going on in his room that might drown out other sounds and make it easier for him to sleep to a constant calming sound. Good luck!
