Has anyone here ever do crowdfunding/crowdsourcing?

I wanted to know if anyone here has ever done crowdfunding or crowdsourcing before (i.e., raising donations from friends, family, and strangers for a particular cause, such as charity, paying bills, etc.).

I am thinking of doing it so I can finish paying off a student loan by the middle of next year. So far, I went from $12,400 to $9,420 in this year alone! I put most of my income (and all of my FC earnings) towards it. Very excited about it, but just want to get it off my back sooner than later. :-)

Has it helped? I'll be graduating May 2016 and I'm going to have to pay back loans, too. :/

I have to put the finishing touches on my "campaign" pitch. I am writing and editing it before I post it. My objective is to pay off my federal student loan by the end of this year. Right now, I am at $9,200. I am going to start out with raising a small amount ($1,000) by the end of this year. I wanted to link it to my Facebook page so people know that I am legit.

I have a crowd funding website where you can join or donate for a worthy cause.  Crowd funding is now global and people are using them to make money and to help others which causes a win-win.
