I think it is ok to use a question to start a topic / subject, but not all questions are the same... For example, if you ask "Is the country headed in the right direction?", the question is open-ended enough that it invokes more well thought-out responses and a good discussion of the topic. However with questions like "Do you like chocolate or vanilla?", people can respond with just a one-word answer so there tends to not be any real discussion of the topic. I also notice that sometimes people (esp. newbies) will post a question about FC in the Off-Topic section instead of posting in the correct section of the forums. But you'll see this too inside the Debate and Discuss section where sometimes the vanilla vs. chocolate type of questions will be posted.
Actually they can respond however they want. I don't really like either. Personally I prefer strawberry. And that leads to more responses.
If someone put the question up in topic,Do you think Hillary will be our next president?DUHHHH i find it ok to ask that in topic.
Kinda reminds me of some who get bent outta shape with spelling and punctuation!!
If you were having a nice chat with someone who stuttered, are you mean enuff to correct them??
u-u-un-dderstan--ddd?
I am going to say - probably so. lol. If you pay attention this same person trolls all the threads correcting others for spelling, punctuation, or making smart remarks about what someone says.

I don't get it. If you don't like what is being discussed then don't respond. I think it is a sad life that a person is living when all they do is try to put someone else down so they can feel better about themselves.
