Halloween 2 (2009)
« on: August 10, 2009, 07:52:24 pm »
Is Halloween 2 (2009) directed by Rob Zombie going to be number one or a bomb. Also will it be better than the orignial Halloween 2 with Jamie Lee Curtis?

there are SO many michael meyers movies.

to me, originals will always be better, because its original.
the story always seems to change in remakes &sequels.
i just never think any movie is ever as good as the original,
but that's me...

i thought rob zombie's 2007 halloween was decent,
for a slasher movie. i also liked the fact that it was the back
story - i thought that, in itself, was original. the acting wasn't amazing,
but i guess that's a sure sign its a rob zombie movie.

for instance, the devil's rejects was just funny to me.
THAT bad of acting has to be on purpose  :P

There hasn't been a decent movie in 20 years....

Unlike Grandpa up there I do believe there has been a decent movie in the last 20 years.

And I like Zombie *but* he ruined Halloween. I did not care for the job he did. The original is so much better. I doubt it will be different for this remake of a sequel. I mean, say it out loud and it even sounds terrible. Remake of a sequel. No thanks.

In the new issue of Maxium magazine they interview Rob Zombie and hes thoughts on why this one is going to be better. Hes thoughts on this movie, Halloween 2 are really interesting.

I would admit remakes have failed so much but Rob Zombie brings a new direction toward the Halloween process. The original misses what Rob puts on the new one and vice versa, for example: (Rob's movie) shows the psychological part of how Michael Meyers became the slasher and the old one (John's) has and will always have the best stalking scenes that Rob has missed, etc.

I find it intriguing on how Rob Zombie doesn't make remakes but uses the same concept to make something new (just like art! nothing is original). But I do believe originals should stay originals...Hollywood has and still continues to destroy classics like: The Last House on The Left (so horrible!!!), Friday The 13th (Jason doesn't come out on the first of its series) and now the soon to come out "Nightmare On Elm Street" (got a sneak peek on a review of the script...it all sounds like a bunch of hoopla!)
And The Con of Hearts

I dont like movies Rob Zombie directs.  You can tell he get off on *bleep* naked girls, kinda perverse if you ask me.

i'm thinking it has potential.
i've gotta admit that i liked the first one quite a bit ^_^
and i like the devils rejects.

i most likely won't have anyone to see H2 with,
though, which is a major bummer :/

whatsgood5-It comes out next friday.

I saw Rob Zombie's Halloween at the drive in, but didn't care much for it until I rented it after he came out on DVD. I liked it better the second time. For this one I'll probably just wait for DVD.
