I have a couple apps installed that pay me every month for being installed. I use one that I get $10 a month($ 5 for phone and computer) and they offer special opportunities to earn much more during certain times, like during holiday shopping, just for answer a few questions a day

I have Nielsen installed on my tablet, and I've been getting points from them. I haven't heard of any other apps, though. Can you give us some names?

I knew of apps that pay, and thought about buying a tablet to try them out.

I have heard of them but do not have any of them on my phone.  Seems when I read the fine print I had to give up some privacy and be tracked and didn't want to do it.

I have 4 apps on my phone that pay me for being installed on my phone. I also have 3 apps that pay me for loading receipts and buying groceries that I was already buying like milk, eggs, bread etc
I've earned about 30 dollars and have been using the apps about a month and a half.

I would avoid downloading apps/programs on my electronic devices (computer and mobile phone). Although some apps are legitimate there are a lot of apps that are ads, malware, or information gathering.

Just make sure when you download an app, make sure you know what it could access. I know some legitimate programs like Avast, Twitch, Accuweather, Truecaller, etc access some information for functionality. information regarding contacts, messages, location, network usage etc

I did not know that.  I'm always suspicious when I hear of something for nothing.

Yes, most of the apps that pay you just to have them on your phone for a set period of time are tracking you and THEY ALSO will use some of your cellular data which can be a problem if you aren't on an unlimited data plan.  But there ARE other apps that will pay you for using them that aren't as invasive.  They still track you to some degree, like the apps that pay you for scanning and submitting your store receipts (but if you use any grocery store loyalty cards you are already giving up that privacy).

<--- Google my Twitter name and you can find a more detailed list.
