Do you call in sick a lot at your place of employment?

I know of a few people that call in all the time. I guess they do not care for their jobs. These days, it not
as easy to find another job as quickly as it was a long while ago.

I do call in sick once in awhile but I like to keep from doing it, getting sick alot isnt very good

I have only called in sick a handful of times. I have to be very sick in order to call in. There are people here that are out once every few weeks. I don't know how they are still employed.

Only in the winter because I commute and driving in a snow storm is not fun!

I called out quite a  a bit, a few months ago, I was in a lot of pain, and my work willnot let me take the doctor prescribed pain pills, so I had not choice but to call in. I do have fmla though.
I have since bid to a different location and have not called out since I got the new post.

I agree, I think bosses should be more strict. I try to never miss a day and it bothers me that my boyfriend does that often for little reasons.

I do not because I am retired and there is no one to call if I don't feel well

I work sick or not as I am self-employed and there's no one to call.  I have to do the work myself no matter how I feel.

I am retired, but when I was in the work full time, I did not; I worked in education and enjoyed my work for the most part and viewed calling in sick only when I truly which was rare in all my years as an educator and then administrator, I think the most time I had off was when I had surgery and had no choice but to be home until released to go back to work.

No, but a lot of other workers do call in which gives us a lot of overtime.

I do, but I have alot of health issues. My boss is pretty understanding though.

very very rarely do I call in sick ... I have the type of job where I am the only person there so if I'm gonna be sick I need to figure that out long before my shift starts at 6pm

I doesn't matter if I call in sick or not since I already work from home. But I will call in sick if it's warranted and really do need to heal.

The same ones call in all the time at work.  And nothing ever gets done to them.  Actually when it comes time for a promotion that is usually the ones who get moved up first.  The ones who never miss, always come in if they are called, always on time, and willing to work over if asked - they are usually the first ones to get screwed over.  At least in my experience.
