taking a vacation depends on financial situation and it varies from yr. to yr.

I take my vacations but they mostly are "stay-cations".  For me, the point of a vacation is to relax and I don't find it relaxing at all to have to shop, pack, make arrangements, travel, unpack...only to re-pack and then travel to un-pack it all when I get home.  (Health issues make that more like torture.)

Plus I don't like the idea of having to board or get a sitter for my critters.  So I just plan a FUN, relaxing time for all of us at home.  It's a time I look forward to.

Yes, I take vacation.  We go to the beach for a week every year as a family.  Our vacation is my favorite week of the entire year.

When I was working, I always took the time I had earned.  It might be a stay-at-home vacation or it might be a long weekend or sometimes it was something more, but I took this time because it renewed me.  Like is always said, " If you don't have anything left, how can you give something away."  In this case, I felt refreshed for a little while, many times with a better attitude towards my job. When we start to burnout, then jobs, family, friends suffer.  Least of all, we suffer!!!

Yes, I try and do vacation every year, sometimes large ones and then sometimes mini ones, I am retired so I do enjoy traveling but budget for the ones that require more funds.

I have not taking a vacation in years.  Being financially challenged makes it impossible to vacation elsewhere.

We use to not be able to afford vacations but since we've got our house paid off, we've been taking more little trips.  We are planning on going out West in August and next June I'm going back to Hawaii!

I always take my vacations. I earned those days off and I am going to take them and do something that I want to do. There is no point in working if you can't enjoy the perks - VACATIONS AND TIME OFF.

My current job I do get a few vacation days.  I have took a couple here and there and just done a pay out on some of them.  I don't really care if my boss is mad at me.  My boss is a miserable person and stays mad at the world any way.

I don't think vacations now because I live alone and it is not fun to go somewhere alone.  I also don't have the extra money it takes to go on vacation at this time.

I am retired now and take vacations whenever and wherever I can arrange them. This summer I have trips planned to Cape May, NJ for a week on the beach, to Seattle, WA for a wedding followed by day trips and to Boston to visit relatives for a week. Should be fun!

I don't take my vacation because I work for the school district and I get a lot of time out, so I get them paid at the end of the school year.
