Opinions on gay rights/marriage?

I just got to ask all the ones against it...How would you feel if someone told you that you couldnt marry the one you loved? Wouldnt that be hurtful in many ways...why is it either disgusting or wrong?  We all like the same thing just in different ways. So why should it matter what gender is with what gender?

I'm just wondering what everyones opinions on this topic are. Personally, I support it more than anything, I'd like to see what other people think though.

My opinions on this topic are based on religious beliefs, which many on here do not see as a valid argument. However, my religion is the foundation for many decisions, opinions, actions, etc., that I have made throughout my life. So, it only follows that topics like this would be affected by that as well.

Needless to say I am against gay marriage because the bible states: ‘Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable.' Leviticus 18:22. and  'Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders.' 1 Corinthians 6:9. Obviously, this opens the door for many actions to be considered immoral and against God's way, in addition to homosexuality. I am not trying to say I do not sin, but denying gay marriage is a way to try and curb this particular sin so as to help others live in the way He wants pertaining to this particular topic.

I personally don't want to interfere in any of the personal lifes. If someone likes it let them have it. It is just personal life. We don't have to deal with it.

I used to be against it.  Now because of reasons such as medical insurance and other things that spouses are in titled to i am for it.

I totally agree with this. So many say that God makes them this way. I think if the read their Bible, they will find the real answer.

gay rights....absolutely in favor of....marriage is a little bit trickier
