I know we are human and have flaws and all, but I myself as a typically less judgmental person in my opinion get fed up with people who base every individual on a stereotype about their race, appearance, employment, past problems they may have had, religion, sexuality...on and on...

I just ignore them and go about my business, I know if I am not judging them then I am doing the right thing. They on the other hand have to live with what they are doing and saying. I am not perfect but it is just easier.

I can see how you might get annoyed, but I think most of the time it happens it is more of profiling instead of true stereotypes.  Profiling isn't racist, sexists, whatever.  It's going with the statistics, which it would be, at times, insane to ignore.

I don't judge people by the way they look but your appearance does say a lot about who you are.  For example, when you dress like a thug you can't get mad when people think you are a thung.  Ie. wearing your pants down around your knees.  There was something happened in a parking lot a few year ago and the police were called.  I did not call them but when I saw the car I knew what he was looking for and told him where he could find it.  He asked me what the people in the car looked like.  I started telling him and then stopped and then said well it sounds bad but basically they look like a bunch of thugs.  He laughed and said well you call it like you see it.

Also, a lot of people today are just looking for a reason to be offended.  If I don't like a person who is gay "I" get called names and judged.  Doesn't even matter that the reason I don't like them has nothing to do with who they have sex with.  The same with if a black person breaks the law and fights with the police while being arrested.  It has NOTHING to do with being black.  It has everything to do with the fact that they broke the law.

But people have figured out they can use these things to try to get people in trouble.  I can't stand people in general.  I don't care what color their skin is or anything else. People are people and for the most part "people" suck!

I hate hearing that.  Oh they have to live with it.  It's nothing to live with.  There is a black guy who comes in where I work.  He absolutely hates white people.  It's very obvious.  It does not bother him that he acts like he does.  He doesn't see he is doing anything wrong.  It also goes back to what I just said, he uses everything he can to try to get a white person in trouble.  Oh she doesn't like me because I am black.  She done this because I am black.  She didn't talk to me because I am black.  NO, I don't talk to you because you are an @ss!

That's the thing.  People do certain things, like the wearing their pants around their knees, and then get mad when people call them a thug.  The trend of wearing your pants below your butt started in prison and was a way to let other men know you were available for sex.  THAT is what is means.  When you wear all black and act like the gothic then don't get mad when people assume you are gothic.

I hate that there are some stereotypes that people think are OK to believe regardless of the truth. For example, in our society it is considered a bad stereotype that gay people promote sexual promiscuity but it's ok to label a Christian as hating homosexual people. It seems people are more willing to buy into some stereotypes esp. against religious people, conservatives, military and law enforcement. And I feel the media plays a role in that: say something stereotypical about a black and you're racist, but say something stereotypical about a Republican and you're considered a very enlightened person.
