Thoughts? Too harsh? Appropriate? Too lenient?

Almost appropriate.  I think Beliceck should have been given suspension as well as Brady.  Even if he didn't know he is responsible for what goes on with his team.  Fines arent enough to deter,  they have too much money!  But to keep them off the field that is serious consequence.  The integrity of the game is what is at stake,  come down swift and hard and send a message to all the teams, coaches and players.

It was a good punishment for deflating *bleep*.  It's sad that Ray Rice can't get a decent one for beating women.

I don't see what the big deal is  or how deflating the ball hurt one team and helped the other.  Both teams used the same ball so if it hurts one for there to be less air then why would it not hurt the other?  If he did do something that was cheating and helped further his team and hurt the other then yes he should be suspended.  But like I said I don't know what the big deal about the ball is anyway.   Besides the fact that I have more important things to worry about than football.

I don't think its fair to just punish Brady and not anyone else;  surely he was not the only one to know the ball had been deflated.  Sets another bad example for the kids that think he hung the moon.

I am glad they finally made them pay for being cheaters. Just like the 1st Super Bowl they won, by cheating. The sad thing is that they still get to keep their rings and trophy. Other sports strip them of their titles. So in essence, cheaters do still win. NOt a very good thing to be teaching. BMaston12

If HE actually was the one who done it then HE is the one who needs punished.  If a co-worker is stealing from my company and I know it then that doesn't mean I should be punished as well as the co-worker if and when they get caught.  If I have nothing to do with it then I have nothing to do with it.  We live in a world where it's best to keep your mouth shut or you could end up dead.  Others may have known or even had a part but I am doubting it because I would think IF that were the case he would be telling on them to save his own skin.

Can you please explain how this is cheating?  Because I honestly don't get it.  How is it cheating.  If the ball was deflated it was deflated for BOTH teams.  If it is a disadvantage for the one team then would it not be for the other team as well?  And how did they cheat in the first game they won?  Sometimes I think people are just sore losers.  I don't watch football.  Sometimes college football but that's it.  I do know a lot of times when a person's team loses they are quick to scream the other team cheated.  So if you can in simple terms explain how it is cheating I would appreciated it :)  lol.

It doesn't help the other team because each team has their own *bleep*.   The *bleep* that are in question were used by Tom Brady while they had possession of the ball.   Once the other team gains possession they use their *bleep*.

I think it's appropriate and think it could have been more.  Cheating is cheating.   I do, however, feel really bad for the 2 equipment guys who are basically permanently suspended.   It won't hurt Tom Brady financially to miss four games even though he won't be paid.  Let's face it, that level football player is rich.   Those equipment guys are going to be hurting for a long time.  Wonder if Tom will help them out in the appeal.   He's appealing the decision, if he wins do the equipment guys get their job back?

I think the punishment is appropriate. As for Ray Rice, I feel his punishment was to lenient. Both of these men are role models.

I think each teams have their own set of ball s, so the Colts wouldn't be using the same ones as the Patriots.

I think we have way more important things going on right now that need to be addressed. Let the football legue take care of the problems. When we have this kind of stuff going on, we are not hearing about things that our government is pulling that need to be addressed.

I agree with killers2 on the Ray Rice situation. I find that the Tom Brady punishment was appropriate (and I say that because my boyfriend is a huge Patriots fan, LOL). But seriously, though, more could have been done about the domestic incidence involving Ray Rice. I mean, WTH? Anyway, I digress.
