Can someone please explain to me exactly what paypal is?? Can you only use the money online or what exactly? I get confused cause I've never used it before. I'm not familiar with it.

PayPal is an online payments system. Online money transfers serve as electronic alternatives to traditional paper methods like checks and money orders. PayPal is one of the world's largest internet payment companies. --Wikipedia (You can use your bank account as a back up source of income. Pay for purchases on eBay or accept money from anyone using paypal. I have had it for years and years. I even have the debit card and make 1.5% cash back on my purchases. It's truly awesome! But fees can be a nuisance! lol)

You can also request PayPal transfer money to your bank account if you have one.  For me, I have my Fusion pay deposited into my PayPal account, receive email verification from both Fusion and PayPal, and then it only takes about 3 days or so for the money to be transferred.

I use as a way to receive payments electronically, transfer funds with others and as a versatile way to pay for things online. I like the backing by the company when there are issues with purchases, especially when dealing with Ebay (not that I really had issues).

That is what I mainly use it for. I'm on a few other sites that I use paypal for to get paid. I've never sent money through it though. I just use it to transfer money to my bank account.

I just receive money with my paypal account, and then transfer it to my bank.

It is a safer way to pay for things instead of using your credit or debit cards online.  I was leery at first but it seems to be a legit company.  Many PTC sites use it which allows you to get paid faster and at lower amounts plus they keep you informed quite well about your transactions. :)

PayPal is: register your credit card or debit card with your PayPal account. You can pay by simply choosing PayPal at checkout, logging into your PayPal account, and confirming your payment. We complete the process for you, without sharing your financial details with merchants and sellers.

I really like Pay Pal because I can put money in that account and buy stuff online and not have to worry about giving out my  bank info. Definitely worth having.

it's where you can send money electronically and it stays in that account until you transfer it to your bank or if you use it up.

I do need to warn all of you that I have found phishing attempts for my PayPal account. Has that ever happened to any of you?
