I used to, then got so busy with work that I stopped. I didn't realize how bad things with food has gotten until recently, so I just started again buying some organic.
Organic potatoes here is over $4 a little bag, but because of the high pesticides in them....they were a must.
They had organic salad greens cheaper than non-organic. Some of the organic fruit, carrots & celery was reasonably priced.
I had a $60 budget (buying 2 weeks worth of groceries) and spent $50...I had thought I went over or would have used the other ten dollars there.
When I got home, I was surprised at how healthy everything looked. REAL food, no overly processed fast foods.
My favorite discovery was the Ezekiel sprouted bread with flax seed.
I can't afford to do 100% organic diet...but do plan to get organic on things used alot that I know would otherwise be GMO. They don't have organic meat here I don't think but I do mostly vegetarian diet anyway.
The change has made a big difference in my energy level. I had fallen into the trap of eating fast & cheap. Now I just take my money and scope out the organic sale items first, the HAS to be organic items second and then use whatever money is left to get items to go with them.
I try to MAKE everything instead of paying extra for convenience: things like pancake mix, cake mix, salad dressings, seasoning mixes, bread/muffin mixes, french fries, etc. can all easily be made at home for a fraction of what it costs to buy it usually. That way dollars go farther when buying organic food.
