New Google Policy
« on: April 16, 2015, 07:47:47 am »
If you have a website or blog and expect to get any traffic from Google searches, you need to be aware that they are going to start penalizing any web pages that are not Mobile Responsive.

To check visit https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/mobile-friendly/

I know I just converted mine and it was quite a job, so don't wait until you have to. Being #1 on Google for the keyword oldbuddy makes it easy for people to find me, especially in this forum where they don't allow any referral links. I don't want to lose that.

I have a link at the bottom of my website to the template I used and it's free if you need one.

See you online!

That's too bad. I like my website design, and I don't want to have to change it to a generic mobile-responsive one.

It makes sense for Google to require mobile ready, as they are conquering the world with their ANDROID phones.     They want people to use their phones & their search engine together.

I haven't a clue if that will affect my website or not and even if it does, I don't know what to do about it.  I am not good technologically.

You have a few choices, none of them will alter Google's new policy. You can leave it as is and forget about being found, do some study to learn a few simple skills and do it yourself, or hire someone else to fix it.
