Approaching stranger.

Do you find yourself having trouble talking to the stranger? Its really hard for me to talk to someone that is new or stranger.

I'm having difficulty remembering the last time I spoke with a total stranger.   Other than asking directions or speaking to a sales person in a store I honestly don't recall striking up a conversation with a total stranger.   If I have a specific reason to talk to someone I don't have difficulty.

It depends who they are. If they are the cashier at a store then I usually speak and ask how they're are doing. If it's someone I encounter while walking, I usually don't speak unless they speak first.

If you are talking to a total stranger or have a reason to be talking to a total stranger, I agree with Reiddb.  Most people like to talk about themselves.

I have a special gift for engaging in conversation with strangers.  I think I inherited it from my grandfather.  He loved to meet people and get to know them.  I don't have a lot of close friends, but I have a lot of close strangers.

Yes sometimes because I am a shy person. But it takes me a while to talk to someone because I have to get use to that person.

I usually just ask them something about themselves, like they said people enjoy talking about themselves.

I am a very out-going person, so it is not to hard for me; it all depends on how I feel that day.

I'm very careful so I usually won't talk to strangers unless they initiate the conversation and I feel alright about answering questions.  Some people try to control and manipulate others...and...I keep my distance from people like that.  Also, I don't like people asking me personal questions...where the answers...are none of their business.

I guess that seems cold; however, I'm hypersensitive and I don't like feeling that I'm being backed into a corner.
Have a great day!

I don't talk to strangers unless I need something from them.  I don't go up to random people and start conversations.

I always make small talk to people I do not know. if I am standing in a line at any store, I talk about whatever is there, like their kids, pretty shoes, purse or outfit they are wearing, or maybe just about waiting in line, I find something to talk about

I am very uncomfortable talking to strangers because they make me nervous, not sure if they are out to get me or just being nice
