Name Change

Is it possible to change your FC name once you have signed up?  I would like to change mine but don't see where to do this.  Anyone know?  IF not I can go to the help section but I always hate to bother them. Especially when the answer is there and I just didn't see it.  thanks.

Really?  What happens if you get a divorce and take your maiden name back legally?  I would think that FC would have to be contacted so that you can change your name.  If it's strictly a "user name" we're talking about, then maybe not.

I assumed they meant username from fc name but I could be wrong.

It's actually possible to change your real name under account info but you would probably have to verify your new identity.

lbeery, if you meant username change, you'll need to submit a support ticket. Some similar sites allow username changes, others don't. As for FC, I personally have no idea.

Yes, changes to last and/or first names generally would need to be verified. I believe driver's licenses are what is typically requested for proof, in these events.

If you legally change your first and/or last name, e.g. from marriage or divorce, we generally require photo ID and a copy of the court order to confirm and adjust your account, in line with policies at most companies that involve money/balances/payments.  The only time we wouldn't is if you're changing to/from a nickname to/from a regular name, e.g. Bob to Robert.

I see that you have your answer. I just wanted to say that I will never change my user name if I don't have to. It has a meaningful reason to it. I use it on lots of things.
