Unusual account activity
« on: March 11, 2015, 11:00:21 am »
My account was being reviewed due to unusual account activity and so i could log in but not do anything.
I also had to verify my account because of this before I could get paid.  Its frustrating that though I appreciate the security this site tries to maintain that I was not told what constituted the unusual account activity. It never feels good to be scrutinized so if im seeming a little sensitive right now i probably am.

I got one of those emails a while ago.  Mine didn't state what the "unusual activity"  was, either.  If I remember correctly, I sent in a support ticket about it.  I don't even remember what the outcome of the support ticket was, but I know I didn't have any problems afterwards.

Do what BlackSheepNY did, try sending in a support ticket, maybe that will correct your account.

I did do that . Apparently they found nothing wrong with it and it was unsuspended so I was a bit surprised that they required additional proof of who I was when I cashed out due to unusual account activity.  I can't think of anything I did out of the ordinary for them to suspect I was someone else and don't want the same thing to happen from not knowing. Maybe it never will again as you say. thanks for the heads up though.

Perhaps it was something like trying to log in from an unrecognized computer, or from a different state or country, something along that vein that maybe flagged them of an attempted hack.

I'm just guessing, of course.  But my bank does security stuff like that.

I have never had that before either. Maybe it was logging into a different computer.

I've never seen this either, I also think like the others that it could have been brought on from logging in from a different computer. That's the only thing I can think of.... I'm glad everything went back to normal so that you can continue earning.

I didn't log in from another computer but one day was having trouble loading firefox so i ended up logging in with ie.  Hope that didn't do it because Ive seen posts from ppl here saying if you can't get certain things to credit to try again using a different browser.

I have never had this to happen to me.  I use Internet Explorer because I don't like Firefox.  I did have to send in verification the first time I cashed out because my daughter referred me and we both had the same last name, but lived in different towns.

I usually switch between Chrome and Firefox during the day so just using a different browser shouldn't cause your account to be flagged.

I'd rather use a site with too much security than one that is lacking. I was on a site where I was cashing out to the same email address for the same amount around every two weeks for almost a year and then they didn't think anything was weird when it suddenly went to another email address for an odd amount.

If you have a laptop and take it to dinner or starbucks they just think someone somewhere else is using your account. that is what happens when I travel. they need to make it easier for you to travel and do your fusion cash without automatically thinking someone else is using your account. Im sure they are working on it.

There's no single hard and fast rule about this.  The factors which can trigger the additional verification or temporary suspension are multiple and have changed over time.  Our priority is keeping the site and member accounts secure and ensuring that our advertisers are not exploited.  Typically, once you've verified your identity, you have a lower chance of getting a temporary suspension in the future.
