finding errors
« on: March 10, 2015, 07:25:46 am »
we tend to notice when things go wrong instead of what's right with the world or in our personal experiences.
I received a birthday card from some of my neighbors. Sometimes, people do spell my name wrong. That happens to a number of people.
What was "funny" was that  they spelled the city the same as my last name and gave me the wrong apartment number. [my next door neighbor's; I guess I should tell her we are roommates.]

It is truly the thought that counts.

Well some people spell my name wrong too. Don't know why that is cause I don't think my name is very hard. There's not like 100 diff spelligs for it like some. Then I had the landlord put a note on my door for rent renewal, but I had just moved in the place. When I looked to see who it was addressed to and  it was Apartment F not E(which is mine). Shows mistakes do happen.

My mum, who is in her 70's, sent birthday cards for my children about 3/4 months early. I figured she sent them early to avoid forgetting them. However it made me a little bit sad that it was a sign she was getting a little bit forgetful. In the same year, she sent my sister's sons birthday cards each, however they had my son's names on!   :(

I don't see this as a big deal.  People have other things on their mind.  I have spelled things wrong when I know how to spell them correctly.  At least you got a card. :)
