Be careful!!! Direct deposit problem
« on: October 20, 2007, 05:29:39 am »
It's funny. i signed up for direct deposit with fusion cash and instead of money being put in, money was taken out of my account. Fusion is the only company that i signed up with for direct deposit and as soon as i did that, i have money withdrawn from my account!!! Either someone hacked my info or fusion did something. I never give that account info out. only fusion has my numbers. I'm upset.

How much money was withdrawn?  when ever a direct deposit account is set up, the company has to withdraw a couple dollars (sometimes less) to verify that the information is correct.  If it was more you may want to check your bank to see what is going on.

Well, The deposit was supposed to be for $27.00 but it seems a withdrawl of $27.00 was done instead. That over drew my account and now with the 30 dollare fee for overdrawing it and minus the 27.00. I'm out 57.00! I was told that someone got my info and made a charge instead of a deposit for some product. FUSION IS THE ONLY COMPNAY I'VE EVER GIVEN MY DEPOSIT INFO TO. I swear. If my bank traces it back to them or any fraud from a worker there. I was told to call the ftc and my attorneygeneral in my state.

never heard of a company doing this. paypal makes two small deposits($.13 and maybe $.27) to your account and to verify that you own the account you log into their site and input the two deposit amounts. thanks for the heads up. it should be relatively easy to trace this transaction. good luck

I had my money sent by direct depost, and everything went fine...are u sure u didnt order a trial or something and forgot to ask the company to stop sending it?...a lot of trial offers are known for continuing to charge ur account even after you have requested that they stop..-which is why i rarely fool with those types of offers..-

Whatever the case, i hope u get things worked out ..make sure u check ur statement carefully, and if u see Fusion Cash as the reason the $27 was withdawn..be sure an come back and tell us..if not u owe em an apology..

I agree with Lenda.  Also when doing trials keep in mind that sometimes when giving this information out to participate the company will put a hold on the amount that the product costs right away, so that may be the case as well.  I would say check your statement to see where the charge originated from as it should be listed there along with a phone number to contact the merchant should you need to.

I just got off the phone with my bank awhile ago and I never signed up for any trial offers from fusion. I'm feeling that someone hacked my banking info the day I signed up for direct deposit and pulled something. The lady at the bank told me there is no phone number or contact info on their computer for the charge in my account. I never gave my banking info out before until last month with fusion. I NOW FEEL A HACK JOB WAS DONE WITH FUSION OR SOMEONE HACKED THE SIGN UP FORM. No details are in the statement. Just a small 6 digit code and the word FAT. What is that? I have to now go to my bank on monday to sign a form for them to trace it. Now I went and checked my records with fusion and now it's making like my payment is now pending. Someone messed up. I just have to figure out who it is. I think i was frauded. This all happened on the 18th of october. Which was the day my commission was supposed to be in my account.

I know it seems easy for mr to sit here and tell you relax but your bank will get to the end of the situation.. all transactions are traceable that seems funny that same amount of money that was supposed to be credited was debited i suggest maybe you let fusion investigate the situation from their end as well but i'm sure it's just a mixup whicj i know the bank says it will take close to 40 days to conclude but ask them to waive the fees seeing this is some sort of mistake..
Good luck

I never put my banking info on any surveys . Ever! I only gave fusion my deposit info when i got started. The lady at my bank thinks someone from fusion signed me up for a paid type of survey. I'm gonna flip if thats the case. I only answered offers that didn't require any paid offers . I can't believe this happened. I never would pay for those type of offers I only got credit and answered the non payment offers that gave me credit to my commission. It has to be from fusions end becaue my checking acct is new ans I never gave it out to anyone else. I WISH THEY HAD A SERVIE PHONE NUMBER. I hate they olny e-mail people.

they do that when you 1st get it to verify your account. it will be put back in. most places do that to verify.

I disagree with JOCLT22'S reply! To verify an account money is usually deposited in your account (example  .13 cents) I have NEVER EVER heard of anyone taking money out of ones account to verify it! The sad thing is, IF and I say IF Fusion  took money out and your account was overdrawn because of it I sure hope the will step up to the plate and pay your overdrawn fees! I pray that everything works out for you! And PLEASE keep us informed! I have not yet set up a direct deposited account with Fusion and I am now afraid to do so!  Thank You and God Bless!   P.S. I have direct deposit with other sites and I have not had any problems!

Poobs,
That post was in October, and that member never showed me or the Administrator anything concrete, such as a copy of the bank statement. So I assume it was an error on the original poster's part, and that he/she had signed up for something and may not have read the Terms of Service all the way through.

as for my post, when i posted it i had not gone back n looked at all the posts. i was thinking they were talking 1.00 or something like that. and depending on the place ( trust me i know ) some do take to verify. but it's only 1 or 2 small withdraws. never more then a buck total. but the only thing i could think of reading their whole posts is that ether fusioncash or the bank made an error. and just had it backwards. i believe all is fixed now or it was the banks error as the person never posted about it again. so i guess after going off about fusioncash frauding them like they claimed they did. they did'nt wanna say anymore to look bad. as i know if i truly was frauded from somewhere after i found out for sure and had proof. i would be right back in here letting everyone know!

It could have been a bank error, but it has happened to me twice in the last year, the last one was with my account i dont use at all either to purchase service or products. I would only have money deposited in my account and i did sign up with direct deposit thru fusion and paypal. From some odd reason someone hacked into my account and tried to order something with that account. I contacted my bank and had to close my account b/c it was fraudlently used. All I am saying is be careful. Know what money is coming in and out your bank, check on your account daily (online banking, etc) and know what and who have access to your accounts. Hope this helped  ;D
