This is a really HARD topic to discuss. Everyone can look at in different ways. So really I think it depends on the person and who they are. I personally believe he needed to stay in longer. And he should have gotten more out of it. But that is my own opinion and I am in titled to it..

Of course he does. He served his time in jail, and he has learned from his mistakes. Some people think it wasn't a long enough sentence, but don't blame him for it, blame the judge who sentenced him.

Whoever he goes to, I will root for them. He put my favorite team, the Falcons, on the map and deserves every chance he gets.

There is nothing really HARD about it. He did his time and now it is time to let the man move on.

He doesn't deserve the air he breaths frankly. Anyone to use animals for fighting just for their own amusement is sick and twisted and if they are able to do that to animals-- what are they capable of in Humans?

No, I don't think he should get a second chance. He knew what he was doing was wrong, but did it anyway. Celebrities make so much money especially in athletics. I think if they beak the law they should no longer be allowed to play. There are plenty of other people who won't break the law that can take there places. Just my opinion

Of course Michael Vick deserves a second chance.  The courts  went overboard giving him a jail sentence of that length.  There are other so called human beings who do a lot worse and get 2nd and 3rd chances.

You have the child molesters living in your neighborhoods, walking free and breathing.

Wow, great point. But I guess the people who say he doesn't deserve the air he breathes don't think child molesters are that bad.  :angry7:

No, there are very few people who could rival the athleticism and abilities of a professional athlete.  There's a reason a VERY small minority of people who play sports their entire lives go on to professional leagues.

He broke the law; he did his time.  What more would you like?  His place in the NFL had nothing to do with his actions.

Just out of curiosity, do you even know what the official charges against him were?  Since the trials took place, I've gotten the impression that people who condemn him so harshly don't even know what he was officially convicted of.

I agree. I think some celebrities take advantage of thier position. They use money to get away with more than the average joe. Especially in politics. It's really a shame how it works. Should he be able to play football? I don't know. Fighting dogs is like murder isn't it? Football players are supposed to be icons aren't they? I personally think sports are over rated. Baseball players making more than the president? Wow. hitting a ball earns you more than making decision for US. I wouldn't want to be president. Let's just play ball. I like sports, I just don't agree with all.

Fighting dogs is not murder.  Killing a dog isn't murder.  A dog is not equal to a human being, and you would agree with just a few questions asked of you and a couple scenarios put in front of you.

His place in football had absolutely nothing to do with his actions.  He got caught, got convicted, served his time, and is now an active member of society (can't remember if he's on house arrest or not...if he is, then I imagine he has a couple years left before he's an active member of society).  No different from any other criminal who gets out after serving a sentence.
