Firefox browser
« on: February 15, 2015, 06:57:48 am »
I used Firefox a few years ago.
I stopped using it because of the constant updates - they were a nuisance.
Well, I have it again and all my stuff is still on there- my favorites and my toolbars. I like the changes.
I came back to using it mainly because Facebook's Hasbro Scrabble game was not working on Safari, Maxthon, SlimBrowser, nor my default browser, Google Chrome. Facebook's Scrabble app used to be different and more simple. They made a deal with Hasbro and there are a lot of people who can't play anymore.  I was reading that there are 500.00 Scrabble players. I did report the situation to Facebook and deleted the game app.

I've been using Firefox for several years.
I tried Chrome for awhile, but it doesn't seem to work as well for me.
I also use Opera, as an alternative. It works well with my slow internet connection.

We have both Safari and Firefox downloaded on our laptop.  For whatever reason, I gravitate to Safari.  When it comes to the Crowdflower Tasks, however, Safari doesn't support it so I would have to use Firefox.  Both browsers are fine with me.

I use Firefox most of the time. Once in awhile I will use Internet Explorer.

I have both Firefox and Chrome. I prefer Firefox because it seems to be more user friendly, more compatible and easier to save everything. I want to like Chrome because it is simple and faster but I always seem to have difficulty having more than two tabs open at a time . That's especially a problem when you have more than one using flash at a time

I use Firefox for Bookmarklet tasks and like it better than Internet Explorer.  I am a professional Scrabble player, I play in tournaments for real money against live people face to face.  If you want a better Scrabble playing experience online download WordBiz and join the InternetScrabbleClub which doesn't require a browser and you can play people from all over the world.  If you play in US choose TWL dictionary which has recently been updated with new words  8)

I gave up on IE years ago.  I'm mostly a Firefox user, but have been annoyed with the frequent updates which often break functionality until a fix is pushed out a few weeks later.  I hate being forced to be a beta tester and not be paid for it.

I started using Chrome as that is the preferred browser for a trivia team I play on.  I tend to use Chrome for a lot of PTC sites, and I use Firefox for sites that have toolbars (since Chrome doesn't support toolbars).

I only resort to IE if neither of the other 2 seem to be working.

Only two browsers I use are Firefox and Pale Moon.  Pale Moon is a Firefox-based browser and I like it because it suits my 64-bit operating system.

I use Chrome most of the time but just found out I can do the 5 cent video with Firefox which I couldn't do with Chrome.  I have trouble with IE stopping when I'm in the middle of something.  It didn't used to do that but for the last 6 months or so it's been a problem so I mostly don't use it.

I use Firefox, IE, and Chrome, because I do a lot of multitasking, and have multiple email address, etc that I always keep logged in. Firefox used to be my favorite browser, but lately it's been acting up. I'm constantly having to update flash player, etc, and it freezes up a lot as well.
