The last time I ever did anything for Valentine's Day was about 30 years ago and I vowed never to waste money again. My boyfriend took me to a restaurant which was the trendiest place in town, honestly, there was an aquarium under the floor and you could watch the fish as you were eating. That part was awesome! However, it was rather a late booking and the restaurant were unsure whether they could squeeze us in. Eventually they accepted our booking and turned up on time. A nice touch was that they parked our car for us. However, when we were seated, we were offended to find ourselves in the aisle of the restaurant. This was particularly annoying because the waiters were rushing past every few seconds to deliver dishes to the other diners. Not wanting to appear ungrateful I said nothing to my boyfriend and nothing to the restaurant but at that moment I vowed never to be drawn in to such a fake money-making marketing ploy! Now, I will not let my husband spend one cent on roses, chocolates or meals and if we wish to go out for dinner, we save it for a non-valentine's day weekend!

I will be working.  I don't see the big deal about Valentine's day anyway.  It is just a made up holiday for some company to make a lot of money.  And a day for women to get mad because their bf/husband whatever does not give them what they want or does not be romantic enough.

I figure a lot of people will be at the movie theater watching *bleep*. lol.

My husband and I don't usually do anything special for Valentine's Day other than give each other cards and sometimes chocolates. Then my husband usually cooks a nice dinner for me too. I also usually send cards to all my family members too, but that's about it.

Valentines Day has never been big in my lifetime - it's just another day.  I meant to send a couple of cards to a cousin and a friend but they were so expensive I didn't buy them.

its just another day to me.   Just a day to go and spend money that we don't really have.  So I'd rather stay home watch a movie and drink some wine that we already have  :)

My husband and I usually don't do anything but go out to dinner (the next weekend), and he gives me two roses (because I tell him not to waste money on flowers0.  But this year we are going to go out to dinner with my sister and her husband.

I will have company over for the week-end, so I am planning a Valentine's Day breakfast with themed plates & whatever from the dollar store.    It's going to be fun.   That morning we are going to all do a Valentine's Day Run  :)        I am just going to let myself get into the theme of it all, because life is short so let it be fun.
