I use the local Walmart.   Love their service and the optomitrist.  It was very friendly service, was able to walk in without an appointment (don't know if that is always the case).  They had a large selection of reasonably priced frames and was able to come back later in the day to pick them up.

For my reading glasses I go to the Dollar store.   I keep reading glasses all over my house and for only $1.00 most pairs have lasted a long time.

Will definitely go back to Walmart for my prescription.

I am not going back to the doc I have went to the past few years.  I need to go and when I run out of contacts I will have to go.  Not sure where I will go but probably in a town about an hour from where I live. I hate to go that far but they have an ad on tv that is a good deal on 2 pairs of glasses and then I want to get some contacts too.  I wear contacts all the time but if I had glasses I could actually see out of I might wear them more often.

I get every day reading glasses any place that has cheapies so I can have them all over the house when I need them. But for the glasses I use for serious reading and for work, I buy from my ophthalmologist.  :glasses-nerdy:

My insurance used to pay really well for glasses, but not so much anymore, so I may try some of the suggestions I saw here on Fusion Cash.

I go to the doctor to get my eyes checked and then take the new scripts to a discount place, I usually get 2 pairs for the price of 1. Have to save whatever way we can with no healthcare plan that covers eye exams.

I use to take my daughter to America's Best.  They have good prices.  I had forgotten about them when I got my last pair.  I paid for it too!! :sad1:

I have gotten them from lens Crafters and from an small private eye doctor place, the sold to my eye doctor so stop going.  The last ones I got from Costco since I kept the frame and just changed the prescription.  My husband tried to go to American Best but their offer was for 2 frames for $69 but single vision, neither my hubby nor I have single vision and at the end their $$ was more than Lens Crafters which the insurance covers for.  This year I went back to contacts so the prescription will be at Costco again
