Blue Bloods
« on: February 06, 2015, 10:32:23 am »
Have any of you seen the series/soap opera called Blue Bloods?

It's about a family of people who work in Law Enforcement with Tom Selleck as a Police Commissioner and the head of the family.

The thing I like most about it is that the family sits down together for dinner on a regular basis where they can communicate and learn with and from each other.  It reminds me that there's strength in numbers when people are "there" for each other.

I'm a little bit envious of that situation because I don't have a family situation where we can do that.

Do you have healthy family dynamics?   Do you watch this show?
Have a great day!

I have seen the show, although I admit I am not a "regular".  What I did like was the "family" atmosphere for dinner because it seems we have lost that today.  I remember when I was young that was the norm, not so much today, everyone is "too busy" with work, school, after hours extra curricular activities and the like.  We as a people, need to get back to it for sure.

I like it a lot and watch it almost all the time, reminds me of the times as a child and as a family sitting around the table talking about the school problems with children as they grew. We always sit at the  table to eat. Now as an older couple with no children we rarely eat at the table unless we have family. sometimes it seems like we are missing  something important out of our lives. I like the fact they have prayers before the meals which we do. I do believe those with children should sit down and talk with them everyday.

I have seen the show but it is not one of my favorites so I watch only when nothing else I enjoy is on.

I always watch the Blue Bloods show.  I never miss an episode.  The setup is nice.  Not sure about eating together every week.  Where is the personal time to energize yourself.

I watch this show religiously.  When I grew up we had breakfast together and then we'd disperse to work, school, whatever.  Then we had dinner together each night.  We all talked about our day and enjoyed our family time.  Then off we'd go to games, church, homework or just watch TV.  It was a very secure home environment.  And I'm grateful I had that.

I love the show but don't have a family like that. I don't think a lot of people actually do. :/

I watch Blue Bloods; it's a great show.  We used to share meals together when I was a child, but now it's just my husband and me and we sometimes eat at different times.  We each fix our own meals because we're on different types of diets

I am a regular viewer of this show.  I really enjoy it.  Some of my favorite moments are with the entire family together.  Agree or disagree they have each other's back.
