I'm really disappointed in him.  We have watched him for years and now find out he lied.   :sad1:

He's arrogant and should be fired immediately. It's outrageous he hasn't been already.

Like most reporters today, the government owns them.  Lying about things doesn't surprise me.  Getting caught over it, awesome!  You have to laugh at all the photo shopped pics going viral over the internet about this.  I know I'm laughing.

The whole situation is weird. Also, the way he apologized was odd: "I seem to have remembered wrong" ??????

He apologized and I think it's just a mistake. This will end soon and he won't lose his job.

I think he will end up losing his job. Newscasters need to be trust worthy and obviously the recent events show that he is not. it is sad because he is a likable guy.

I don't see much difference between Brian Williams reporting a blatant lie vs. others reporting their personal opinions as "news"......both are NOT factual, actual news.  Yet, the latter happens so much that I could care less if Brian Williams stays or goes.  None of them seem to be able to report the truth, so who cares?

I think it's ridiculous that he seems to think he can make the whole thing go away by taking off from work "for a few days." A few days? I think he will probably eventually be fired over it. Dan Rather made a mistake and he was gone a short while afterwards and I suspect the same thing will happen to Williams.

I don't know why he felt the need to lie about this report, I will never trust him again and think this will be the end of his career.

I'm not surprised. They're all propagandists and liars.

Yeah but anything that comes along people share and tweet and post and pin and on and on.  I remember a while back I made somebody really mad because she kept sharing posts about missing kids on facebook.  I researched and at least 3 the kids were dead.  I told her about each one.  The last one the mother was begging people to STOP sharing it all over the internet because her young child was dead.  And the more she asked that it stop the more people still shared it.  People need to investigate and find out if something is real before they share it.
