Roller Skate

I never really got into roller skating. I went to a skate rink for a friends birthday party when I was 8 or 9, but that was about 16 years ago. Don't really see too much of it going on and most of the skate rinks around me have closed or turned into something else.

When I was a young girl, roller skating was all I ever did after school and over the weekend. When I think back now to how foolish I was; we lived on a steep hill and me and my sister used to love skating down the hill and then taking a sharp turn into our street. We couldn't see round the corner into our street before we got there and there were a number of cars that had to slam on their breaks to stop in time. I would never let my kids do this!  We must have scared the heck out of those drivers!

People do roller skate as well as ice skate today but I think it's harder to find the rinks

I went rollerskating with friends quite often in my teen years.  I tried roller blading a few years back. Sadly, I'm way too uncoordinated to even stand up in them.

I have no clue, we don't have a teen, or know any teens, so I can't ask them either... I did have fun a gazillion years ago though...

When I was sixteen I went to the rink to learn how to roller skate and someone tripped me and when I slammed down I ended up with a broken wrist. So I started my senior year in a cast and had to learn how to write left handed.

I rollerblade sometimes it's hard to find a place in my area with smooth concrete.  There is a roller rink up the street from me but I've never been.

Yes they do? I just saw today a guy roller skating in the street. It was nice to see that again.

I had never learnt how to roller skate so I did not had the chance to enjoy it or hate it.
