date bars

OOOOOOOOOOh date bars do sound good and aren't dates really good for you?  My husband loved the date nut bread they used to sell at our grocery store bakery.  But alas he is passed away and the store doesn't carry it anymore.

I've never had date bars.    I haven't had dates since I was a kid, time to make an effort to try one again to refresh my memory.

I don't think I would like anything with dates in them.

I like going to bars that aren't just a meat-market... I think if the bar has more to offer, it is ok for a date. Wrong "Date Bar"... 

I've never had a date bar before, but if they're like fig bars (aka Fig Newtons) I think they'd be a great snack. Not too sweet (and the sugar is probably from the date itself) and probably more satisfying.
