« on: January 02, 2015, 02:50:05 pm »
Has anyone ever kept their new year's resolution? Every year I try to respect my resolutions some how in the middle of the year I let go. this year, I did not make any new year's resolution at all.

Does it matter when?

Is it any different if you think you are too fat on June 26th than Jan 1st?

Just a crutch!!

Some good advice...ex to those dieting.....

Set up a calendar for the year and give yourself a star for the good days you have in keeping your diet.....start liking yourself for your progress...if you have a bad day pick yourself up and work on the next days star!!

Depending on a stupid date to start is a procrastination!!Get real...see results...reward yourself and forgive yourself!!

I think setting goals on a specific day is setting yourself up for failure... you don't need a calendar to decide to change or do something different in your life.

I did not do anything for New Year's day. I simply just stayed home and relax. That's all I did.

I do really well if I make a small commitment rather than trying to make a major change in my life.  My new years resolution is to drink 33 ounces of water each morning before I consume anything.  That's realistic for me because I'm not much of a breakfast person anyway.

Have a great day!

I'm making some big resolutions for 2015!   A new house!  A new car!  More financially secure!

If you really wanted to make a change, why wait until the new year to start. You could have started months ago and made some real progress by now.

No resolutions! Just be true to yourself and all will fall into place! Every new year should be treated like every new day. That is my outlook! :)

I stopped making resolutions years ago.  If I'm going to do something, just waiting til the new year is going to help lol

One of my resolutions is to help as many people as I can to help them have a good life. To be friendly to people even if they are rude. I forgive them because they probably have bad lives.

I am quite fastidious in monitoring anything that I commit to doing. I generally succeed at my new years resolutions as they become healthy habits after continually doing them for at least three months. For financial resolutions I take the previous years accomplishments and increase them by ten percent. I take about six hours every December to make my resolutions, plan their achievement and schedule quarterly revisit points so that I can examine my progress and determine where more energy needs to be expended. I have a harder time with my physical health goals because my financial goals generally take precedence...and quantification of health goals is somewhat subjective.
