In Canada I pay 5% federal tax and another 10% on provincial tax.  Needless to say, not a fan.

In New York we pay 8.6% sales tax

7% in NJ! It follows you every where you go! lol ... If I want to retire to a state that doesn't tax, NJ will find me and tax me on my SS and pension so yeah not a fan of it either! lol

 In Alaska: We do not pay State income tax, we pay only Federal income tax! Sales tax is paid only in some cities, as a way to raise revenue.

The sales tax in Mass. is 6.25%  However there is no tax on clothes and food. Thay is the only good thing about it.!

I live in southern Oregon....and no sales tax.  I love it too.  I lived in Alaska before here and no sales tax as well.  Loving it...

The sales tax here 7%. Like others it's not for food so I can usually get away with paying no tax, unless I buy kool-aid and soda. There's no income tax for the state.

here in my area of Wisconsin, we pay 5.5% sales tax, however, there is no sales tax on grocery food items.

Sales tax is 6% in KY.  We don't have to pay sales tax on food unless it is prepared food (restaurants, etc.).
