I've never been a fan of Christmas.  The last time I saw my mom alive was on Christmas Day.  She died 3 days later.

  I always think I'm ready.  But through the month I will always think of some more things                  .  So I will say I am 98% through.

My sons are grown & we haven't done presents in years due to financial constraints.  My husband passed away last year and we were too depressed to worry about Christmas.  I have three step-grandchildren though who live out of state, never been close to them really but want to send them presents this year.  It will be fun stuff definitely.

I can't wait for this time of the year to be over with.  People where rude and mean I don't really celebrate it even when I was a child I didn't care for it i would rather read a book.  Fighting goes on and rage on the roads and in the stores I thought people celebrated Christmas for Christ and he didn't have this hatred or rudeness towards others, so no thank you I will stay home and it will be just another day for me.

This year I'm going into something more soul-nourishing than worrying about "getting ready" per se.  I'm sick and tired of the notion of my running all over hell and half of Georgia just because the marketing gurus say I should, and I'm not gonna get roped into the shop-till-you-drop syndrome this year.

Ditto, mostly. I just want to chill out in my bedroom and pretend nothing is going on around me, haha. Too much chaos and commotion everywhere this time of year!! Not to mention pressure and rushing!! People lose themselves this time of year. I want to just stay mellow and do my own thing and wait for it all to pass.
