Syrian Electronic Army Hackers

I play the free daily cash games on a game site.  When I logged on to it this morning, there was a message that popped up that said the site has been hacked by the Syrian Electronic Army and then their emblem popped up.  This game site is used by people all around the world and most have probably supplied financial information for game purchases. 

I just googled the Syrian Electronic Army and got saw this article on widipedia about what happened today:

27 November 2014: SEA hacked a large number of prominent websites, displaying a message "You've been hacked by the Syrian Electronic Army(SEA)" [sic]. They hacked the Aberdeen Evening Express website. Readers attempting to reach the website were instead directed to a message by the Syrian Electronic Army. hackers compromised the website corrupting it. On the same day, SEA hacked the Logitech websites worldwide. They also hacked Forbes and the Independent newspaper, OK Magazine, the Evening Standard, the Telegraph, NBC and America’s National Hockey League. Similar to the Aberdeen Evening Express website, readers attempting to reach the websites were instead directed to a message by the Syrian Electronic Army. They have also attacked the directv.com network where an individual attempting to reach the site is instead given an image of their logo.[48] They also hacked Finishline.com, PCH.com, Time Out New York and t3.com (a tech website). They also hacked stv.com, WalMart.ca, Pacsun.com, Daily Mail websites, bikeradar.com (cycling website), sparknotes.com and the Mexican websites Milenio.com, Mediotiempo.com, Todobebe.com and myrecipes.com[49].Biz Day SA www.bdlive.co.za, muscleandfitness.com

Coincidentally, I had heard a couple weeks ago from our outside computer tech about a company located near me (in NE KY) that had their computers hacked with an encrypted virus and their data was being held for ransom.  The hackers are suppose to be from Russia according to the feds that were investigating.  I haven't heard if they paid the ransom or what.

A lot of sites are being hacked by people in other countries.  And our country being the wuss that it is just shrugs and says  "oh it is another country so we can't do anything". Funny cause if a citizen of the US does the same ing to one of these oer countries THEY can do something.

I know, hacking has definitely increased.

It does seem to be getting a lot worse, and it is true our government will not do anything about it. Now if their computers were to be hacked and those at the white house something would be done, even  if we don't know about it. 2 years yet and no telling how much more crap is going to go on. Hackers are getting an upper hand. I will not hardly use my credit card anymore.
