There was no indictment. But this does not give the rioters and looters the right to destroy and steal from the business or any one else, let alone tear there town apart or burn it. At this point I do not consider them anything but animals. Oh man if white citizens were to do this we would all already been in jail.
I notice when you speak of black people it is always the word animals that you use. I think part of Americas problems starts with people like you. No I do not condone what happen in Ferguson but unless the problem with the mind like of you is addressed there will never be equality. Ferguson has a real problem just like Salt lake city where Dillon was shot. Difference is this Dillon person was seen on camera disobeying the PO and unfortunately for Brown we will never know the truth. Like I said in my comment before this is very sad. What is really sad my son is only 11yrs old and no matter how much I try to teach him right from wrong I am afraid in the end he might end up gunned down just because of his skin color. I worry everyday that this will not happen to my child.
Since vickysue referred to "the rioters and looters" as being like animals, evidently you consider black people to be equivalent to rioters and looters in order to logically connect vickysue's reference to animals to black people. Considering that some of the pictures from the riots showed a mixture of the races involved with the lawlessness, maybe you should consider your own prejudices before pointing the finger at others. To be fair, I think vickysue's final sentence does suggest that your argument may actually be closer to her intent. But considering one of the distinctions between humans and the rest of the animal kingdom is that we are able to reason and live in a society of laws, I too think that the lawlessness of the riots is akin to animalistic behavior regardless of the skin-color of the people conducting this anarchy.
I too saw this whole situation as a sad event. I think all too many people were basing their decision based on a view that this was a racial issue without looking at the facts (and it's unfortunate that some of that evidence was kept from the general public so it didn't give people much time to go through it when they were finally released to the public). But when there were some black witnesses that agreed with Wilson's story and when the grand jury included 2 black women and a black man, this decision looks less to be race motivated and more due to the evidence showing that Wilson was in his right in trying to enforce the law.
I'm still surprised how many people protested this decision as being a failure in our justice system yet no one marched in Cleveland when a true travesty in our legal system came to light when 2 black men were released from prison after 40 years! for a crime they didn't commit. I would have thought that people who were really concerned about injustices in our system would have been marching in Ohio earlier this month when it came to light that the sole witness admitted to making the whole thing up under intimidation by the police while being questioned. I'm much more upset that police intimidation of a witness lead to the imprisonment of 2 black men for the majority of their lives, than I am about a police officer that kills a teen that bull rushed that armed officer after having committed a crime.
