I think its great especially for people who travel bc there's always room for gift cards. The key is to know the person and where they shop to buy a card you know they will use!?

Gift card are better to give the older children because they like to purchase what they like.  There is nothing wrong with giving a gift card.

I love getting gift cards.  Then you don't get stuck with crap you don't want!

I guess its a little less personal but than if they don't like it (gift) than they don't have to worry about standing in line to return them.  I think it is better to have a gift card and shop for myself.  Sometimes we don't know what people need or want these days.

I think gift cards are great for family members, that way they can choose what they want.  If it's a close family member, I'll probably get them a gift though.
