I don't think it matters.  It only matters if I can laugh at myself.

I think you can sometimes tell in the tone of their laugh. Thats awful to have to determine that though. Those kind of people are just yuck!

If you are not laughing then they can't be laughing with you can they?  It is not too hard to figure out when someone is making fun of you.

It depends on the people I am with and how well I know them to really tell if they are laughing with me or laughing at me. But even if I sense that someone is laughing at me, I will laugh at myself as well. For as Eleanor Roosevelt was quoted as saying, "You don't grow up until you have your first good laugh AT yourself."

usually with shifty eyes....watch for those...if they are there, they are laughing at you
