Doctors appointment
« on: November 17, 2014, 08:53:05 am »
Do you prefer morning Doctors appointments, where you may have to take half day off from
work or do you prefer evening hours?

I would like to go in the morning time, but choose the evenings due to personal time.

I like to go around 1:00 pm.  Right after lunch they usually aren't too busy yet.

I usually try to get the first appointment in the morning or the first after lunch.  Better chance of not having to wait 4 hours past your appointment.  Our local dr office is the worse.  You can have an appointment at 2:00 but if 3 people walk in right in front of you with no appointment to see the same doctor they are "worked in" and basically you see the doctor in the order you get there.  And they wonder why my BP is so dang high by the time they come in there.

I'm not a morning person and I worked swing shift a lot so I always tried to schedule appointments outside work hours.

I prefer early afternoon when I can. I have to travel 80 miles one way, and the afternoon gets me home before dark. Mornings are for shopping and lunch. But can't always have what I want.

i  prefer morning appointments  because they don't get  as backed up so you don't wait as long. :pumpkin: :pumpkin: :turkey: :turkey: :peace:

Early morning is a good time. Not a lot of people are there and there is no wait (unless the doctor is late). Usually when I have an appointment at the afternoon, my appointment gets delayed because other people who didn't make an appointment push the appointment times back or someone who has an appointment have lots of questions or have a serious illness that needs to be addressed

Can't be blamed, so early appointment is good if you have a busy day

I always preferred morning appointments, and now that I am retired I still prefer the same. The wait time seems less and if you need to be fasting for lab work you don't have to go the whole day without eating!
