It used to really annoy me seeing Christmas stuff out before Thanksgiving.  Now that I am older, I appreciate it more.  I think I may even go shopping in November....that will be a first for me.

I love the holidays I dont think theres anything wrong with it being this early. We have family all over the US and my mother and father in law are coming to celebrate christmas this weekend with us just because thats what we could work out schedule wise and its my sons first christmas. but if they didnt start the holiday season early it would really feel like christmas when they are here. so the house will be decorated way early but what can you do

Yes. I saw fresh Christmas trees at one store yesterday. They won't be very fresh by Christmas though.  But I don't care.  I like Christmas.  Celebrate it every day, I always say.

I think stores start a bit too early. I don't start Christmas shopping until after Thanksgiving because I don't have a lot to buy. The people I shop for are easy to shop for.

i went to walmart today and the store was packed thine long as hell it shouldn't be this early i swear every year it gets earlier and earlier for shopping for the holidays they take all the fun out of it

You're right. They do start earlier every year. They might as well just leave it up all year round. It would save them a lot of time and effort.

It doesn't bother me at all. It's not like they are holding a gun to our heads and we can't just ignore it.
that seems a bit harsh workers dont have a choice either they go in or lose their jobs or they really need the money and then you have ones like my family they need that savings too be able to do christmas  so as far as our family goes we are gonna have turkey on friday but everyone is going to be really tired the way we have it set up is then the kids go to inlaws  on sat. and then everybody rests on sunday to go to work on monday so this is really messed up. and everyone i know is upset over the change

 I know, it feels like they just want to fly pass every holiday as fast as they can. Just getting us older as the days pass by.

I always buy by Christmas decorations on after Christmas clearance sales. My closet is full of boxes of Christmas lights.

The thing I hate more than anything is when customers come in and interact with me complaining about Christmas.  My theory is if you don't want to buy presents - Don't.  If you don't want to go to functions - Don't.  Don't decorate, don't do anything.  Just shut up about it.  Several years ago I worked part time at Dollar General and a lady came in and bought like 15 of the $1 deodorants and and bunch of something else guy related for a $1.  I did not ask her why she bought it.  Did not care.  She proceeded to tell me it was Christmas gifts and if they didn't like it they could throw it away.  She was very angry.  I am thinking if it is that big of an issue then don't buy anything.

I don't like it.  I like to take my holidays in order.  Why are "we" in such a hurry?  Slow down and enjoy the present.  :peace:
