I suppose it depends on several things.  1. How serious was there relationship? 2. How serious is your relationship? 3. Is there open communication between all 3 individuals.  4. Bottom line.  Has trust been established to accept the past relationship/friendship status.

It would not be right for MY boyfriend to be close friends with his ex. lol.  I know a girl who texts constantly and talks to her ex boyfriend.  I am thinking if the new girl friend knew it tempers would fly.  Thing is she got mad when she found out while they were dating he was constantly talking to another girl.  Sounds like a player to me.
