what do you buy for girls in there teens

i have several things for my daughter but i am looking for that one thing she hasn't asked for so it will be a total surprise but not sure what i should get jewelry  or a laptop we got her a stereo and a cell phone so for but those are things on her wish list i want just one special thing so any advice would be great thanks

Girls in THEIR teens like nail kits with all kinds of things to make different nail finishes.

What always makes a great gift is one of those little kits that hold a nail file, toenail clipper, little nail scissors, etc. Your daughter would probably use something like that her whole life. I still have one my Dad gave me over 40 years ago.

WOW, she is going to really make out!  A laptop or tablet would be great.  How about a wallet, where you can put credit cards, put some gift cards to places she goes to.  Just a thought.

I have a 14 year old granddaughter that I am having a hard time buying for this year. Clothes are hard to buy for her and I always get her a collectable doll even though she is too old for dolls. It is a tradition.

God question, my daughter just turned 15yrs old.  I gave her money for her birthday and took her wherever she wanted to go.  She found a terribly cute outfit on sale at Target along with black tights to go with it.  Then we were off to the mall where she bought a Taylor Swift cd, a pair of pants, t-shirt and a hat.  I treated her to a cookie snack and then we rode the elevator and escalator just for fun.  We also sampled the perfumes on the way out.  We picked up dinner on the way home as well as ice cream and cake which we enjoyed with her dad and brother.  She liked everything she bought but I think just the fact that I spent the day with her doing her kind of things is what she loved and will remember.

How old is she? Old enough to drive? Perhaps just a GC at a local gas station or oil change place. Those are things that they like to have but won't necessarily save up for (tending to spend their money on "fun" things like clothes or makeup).

I don't know because I only have girls but I want to ask my step-daughter what her daughter would like because I want to get them presents this year.  It's a long story but we never have done anything for them to speak of and my husband her dad recently died and I want to do something for them.  I am going to look through the posts so I can "steal" some of the suggestions you get.

Well, I don't know about your daughter but, my daughter LOVES makeup.  She loves all those crazy colors the kids use today and she does look wonderful in them, too.  If your daughter is in to makeup, maybe a nice pallet of colors would excite her, or a set of makeup brushes.  I usually buy them from the Coastal Scents website (www.coastalscents.com).

I would do make-up kits or nail art kits, some kind of beauty package. Cant go wrong there.

My daughter is 16 and one of the things I would love to get her is a Bible with her name en-scripted on the cover.  She has been recovering from a battle with an eating disorder.  God's word has become worth more to her through this horrible process than anything.  If I could afford it I would include a ticket/pass sort of thing giving her permission to go on a youth missions trip (As long as she keep ED {Eating Disorder} under control)  I'm not sure what your teens interests are but that's what I would do for mine.
