When I was young, I always used to bite my tongue. I really suffered with my confidence and my mum used to say that I shouldn't worry, my confidence would grow as I got older. How right she was. Now that I am in my forties, I cannot stand by and let my opinion go unheard. If I feel strongly about something I just burst out with my thoughts and opinions and I don't care who agrees with me. I wish I had known what I would have become when I was in my teens.

I used to be extremely shy and would not voice my opinion on anything;  if I spoke out (like I had to do in school) my face would turn bright red and I'd break out in a sweat.  Having children helped me come out of that to some extent and I will voice my opinion now, especially if it's something I feel strongly about.

I have always been one to say what's on my mind but I'm actually trying to change that - I don't think that's wise.  I think there's a time to speak and a time to remain silent.

As Thomas Watson said, "God has given us two ears, but one tongue, to show that we should be swift to hear, but slow to speak. God has set a double fence before the tongue, the teeth and the lips, to teach us to be wary that we offend not with our tongue."

Both. Honestly I have a bad habit of talking too much and letting the wrong information slip out.

talk too much, me, never. I never talk too much. would anyone ever say that I talk too much. I mean, I don't think I talk too much. nobody ever said I talk too much but I could be wrong but I don't think I am. I have met a lot of people who talk too much but they never told me that I talk too much. I cant imagine ever talking too much. I wouldn't know what to say if I talked too much . well since I don't have a lot to say about whether I talk too much I am going to go to a different topic.

I'm quite diplomatic. I try to speak gently.  No need to shove your opinions down people's throats.

I have a tendency to think out loud and I believe that clear and precise communication is important to avoid misunderstandings; however, I don't like "small talk" or gossip.

I'm more of myself around my family, but I tend to keep to myself mostly. I've always been a quiet person of sorts.

If I have something to say, I speak the truth.  But for the most part I usually sit back and observe.  You can learn a lot about a person just by listening.
