went to the walmart by me and they already have all the christmas stuff out heck it is not even close to thanksgiving yet i heard that next year they are going to start with the christmas stuff in july they are getting to far ahead of them selves

All retailers have taken the beauty and true meaning of CHRISTMAS out of the holiday.  they have turned it into nothing more than another "commercial, money-making holiday" and I think it's a crime.  They should all be FORBIDDEN to even advertise Christmas until AFTER THANKSGIVING!~!!

You heard? lol.  Where did you hear this?  People have said for years they will start in July.  Personally, I don't care.  Nobody forces you to buy Christmas stuff so if stores want to put it out early then I say go for it.  I try to avoid stores all I can anyway.

I agree with you. It cheapens Christmas to have brazen advertising for material things for Christmas this early in the year. I live in the NY City area and they are already advertising the Radio City Christmas Show on TV. I guess they want to put the idea into people's heads early on so they will buy tickets early.

Personally, I don't think it cheapens Christmas because the TRUE meaning of Christmas is in your heart.  Besides, what better time to get all the decorations you might need at a way better price?

I think all stores push all seasons.  This summer I went into a large department store in July.  It was over 95 degrees outside and they were selling winter coats!

There was an SNL skit that addressed this issue and it was quite funny. Guy running around yelling "too soon" at people engaging in Christmas stuff months before December. Funny.

Our Walmart always starts putting the stuff out early but I will be in no hurry to shop. I shop when I'm ready and thankfully I never have a lot of people to shop for.

They start Xmas earlier every year.It's bad enough that they don't wait until after Thanksgiving,but now they're starting before Halloween.By the time Xmas actually gets here I'm already tired of it.

That's unbelievable!! We have all the fall stuff out in RI. I love Christmas but this is way too early to see decorations. Crazy!!!!!
