I generally melt margarine, add minced garic, onion powder, kosher salt and pepper. Depending on what kind of meal I am making will depend on what else I have. For any kind of pasta dish, I add oregano, basil, and just a dash of crushed red pepper. For Mexican food, I add chili powder and cumin.

Try this chicken recipe. I am sure you will love it.
2 lbs chicken, cut into serving pieces
1 large potato, quartered
1 large carrot, sliced
1 large bell pepper, sliced
1 cup green peas
8 ounces tomato sauce
4 cloves garlic, minced
4 pieces hotdogs, sliced
1 medium onion, diced
1 1/4 cups chicken broth or stock
2 pieces dried bay leaves
1 teaspoon granulated white sugar
4 tablespoons cooking oil
Salt and ground black pepper to taste
Cooking Procedure

Pour-in cooking oil in a cooking pot or casserole then apply heat.
Pan-fry the chicken until the color turns light brown (about 3 minutes per side).
Remove the chicken from the cooking pot.
On the same cooking pot, sauté garlic and onions.
Put-in the sliced hotdogs and pan-fried chicken then cook for a minute.
Pour-in tomato sauce and chicken stock then add bay leaves. Simmer for 30 to 40 minutes.
Add the potato and carrots then simmer for 7 minutes or until the vegetables are soft.
Put-in the bell pepper, green peas, salt, sugar, and ground black pepper then cook for 3 minutes more.
Turn-off heat then transfer to a serving plate.
Serve with steamed rice. Share and enjoy!

I am lazy so I use a packet of Italian dry dressing sprinkled on the chicken. I also put some canned green beans, red potatoes cut up, sliced carrots and blub onions in the dish around the chicken. Pour on I stick of melted butter and 1 cup chicken broth. Cover it with aluminum foil and bake until everything is done. (350 degrees) anywhere from 1-1/2 hours. depends on the thickness of the chicken *bleep*.  My family was here last night and they scarfed it down.

It depends on how you want to eat it.  If the breast are to big I suggest you cut them in have (long way) or at least cut strips around so it will cook good and faster on the inside.  As for seasoning, I always rub garlic, and garlic salt, pepper, a tat of soy sauce if you have and want, and then any other ingredient you want to cook it with, if you fry then Panko or breaded flour, or barbecue or any of those marinade bottles that are at the grocery store now, all of them are good, easy and fast

For a plain old chicken breast I will use salt and pepper, rosemary, thyme (dried) and garlic powder. These are very traditional spices which match chicken perfectly. However, I have also used a spice rub which is wonderful on chicken or salmon which is 2 tbsp. brown sugar, 1 tbsp. chili powder, 1 tsp ground cumin and a little salt and pepper. The sugar enhances the chili powder and it turns caramelized and gooey after a light sautéing in the pan. Devine!
