best cold remedy

vicks slapped generously on bottom of feet put on socks then go to bed feel so much better the next day works almost all the time

It's important to get plenty of rest.  And whenever I have a cold I take Nyquil at night and Dayquil during the day.  That seems to help me feel better faster.

cut up ginger, boil it in water and drink it.

I don't think there is a 24 hour remedy for colds but good luck.

Vitamin c, is the best medicine and lots of rest....let the cold take its course....

Hot tea, some emergen-c, and soup. I think with a cold you have to let it run its course but I think those things can help you feel better.

  When  feel a cold coming on, I pop a Cold-Eeze zinc drop.  After the cold hits, I like Alka Seltzer Cold & Flu fizzing tablets that dissolve in water.  For coughing, nothing works as great as Vick's on the soles of feet & cover with warm socks.  For a sore throat, I like a warm spoonful of raw honey followed by a cup of lemon tea.  (Some people prefer the honey in their tea but I think it's more soothing to the throat when taken before the tea.)

Hot soups, vicks, sleep, and vitamin C seems to help most of the time.

I only do lemon tea and honey but like four of those really hot.
