I have not done the ALS challenge.  I have watched a fair amount of videos of people.....this has raised a lot of money for ALS and people have had fun doing it too.

True it has raised a lot of money and those that I know who did it did have fun. Although I think our kids in Sunday School had more fun watching our Cantor get done then she did in having it done.

Seems like everyone around me has!  My daughter has done it three or four times and my son has done it twice. I had a friend that did it and threatened to name me as a benefactor. I told him that I am a leader-not a follower.  I would not fall prey to a challenge like this unless he could name more than one person who had been afflicted by it. Ummm...well...ummm...Lou Gehrig...everyone is unable to name another after that without going on the internet. I understand the concept but I think that our attention could be focused on something that affects greater percentages of people. Cancer? Starvation? Ebola?  I am sure that we could find other causes .

Sorry but I got nominated and didn't do it. It's a great idea, but I think it's getting way too much attention. I agree with the fact there are greater issues out there too. How about we focus on those and just ask people to donate instead of putting a bucket of ice, (or whatever else for that matter) over their head!

No and I refuse to do the challenge. There are too many other things that need addressing - Autism, cancer. These two things hit very close to me.

Looks like fun and it's for a good cause. Hopefully I'll get the courage to do it soon, if not I'll just donate to ALS.
