In 7 months I will be 50 years young. Give me some ideas of places I can  take a vacation for a weekend, but not expensive.

 :present: ??? ;) :)

It's difficult to make suggestions when I don't know where you live, but have you thought about a weekend trip to the theatre to see a live show, with perhaps dinner included. I remember when I lived in the UK I took a weekend trip to London, took in a live show (Phantom of the Opera) and then went to dinner. It was the most lovely weekend ever. Perhaps you could go to a concert or a cultural experience. If you wanted something a little cheaper, what about some botanical gardens or an aquarium?

I live in Michigan and was thinking about taking a 1 to 5 hour trip somewhere in
Michigan for my birthday. Your ideas sound great as well. :)

What about a weekend at a winery? That is if you like wine.

We could give more suggestions if we knew what attractions you were close to, but a nice spa day in the next time with a good friend would be nice. Or just rent a room for a change of scenery an hour or two away and go out and enjoy the sights.

Im not thinking of doing anything special, but maybe you could just rent a nice hotel night, a big fancy suite.   :PDon't know if that would be fun for you.

Maybe you can take a cruise. Go online to see if there are any specials and I did hear that flights were cheaper. If you go outta town, try to go somewhere that you have family or friends that you can stay with to save $.

I've got 2 1/2 years till I hit that mark but best wishes to you when it comes. Try taking a weekend trip to the beach. The winter months are great time to go. Yeah you can't get in the ocean but if you get a hotel with an indoor pool... And because it is the winter there aren't many crowds and you can enjoy a lesurely walk on the beach.

I just had a birthday - on the 14th.  I didn't go anywhere, but I had a nice time getting birthday greetings from family and friends.  I didn't think I would still be around at 72.  I am thankful to the Lord for each day.
