My husband got me a new puppy June 18th. It is like having another baby all over again, it is so much work, not all cuddles and cuteness. I love my little guy, but I had forgotten how much is involved, lol. You really must think it all through before you take that on, it is a lifetime decision for you and the life of you puppy! Too many people get them and then find that they can't handle it. Please think first! :dog:

They are a 24/7 commitment, if you can't give that you don't have any business having one. Your friend many not have the time to give to a puppy.

puppies are adorable and I love them but I am way to old to even consider having one. Besides all the work I don't have the energy to keep up or to exercise the puppy! :rainbow: :rose: :peace:

I just got a puppy 2 weeks ago.  He is a 5 month old little boy who is a hand full!  I have 5 other dogs, ranging in age from 8 years to 2 years.  They are good guys and mostly calm, however, once the puppy came the two youngest somehow became puppies again!  I love the new one with all my heart, but wow, he is 100% puppy.  He is almost housebroken so that is not the issue, but today (and it's only 9 am), he ran with the one towel, off the rack into the living room, ran and knocked over a plant and stand, chasing the other dogs through the house, losing his favorite toy 3 times that I had to stop and look for it, ate 4 leaves he found outside, and he is only up 3 hours!  Puppies are fun and cute, but lots of work.
