we go to the movie but it is so costly between the tickets and drinks the food i remember when it cost less then 5 dollars to go and have a good time  so we either rent the movies or buy them when they come out on dvd

My daughter and I use to go to the movies quite a bit, but she lives in a different town now and has her own family.  I don't go very often now because I don't want to go alone.

Mostly dvds because with the cost of going to the movies plus food, you could buy or rent the dvd and watch the film as many times as you want.

I prefer both but since I don't have time to go to the movie right now I would rather watch it on dvd

I go to the movies only on someone else's dime or when a movie is coming out that I just can't wait to see.  We (fortunately) have a dollar theater here, so I get to see everything for .50- 1.75 ($3.75 for 3D) about two months after it comes out, though I rarely have to wait.

I rent a LOT of movies from the library- for FREE!! I get to keep newly released movies for 2 weeks for free with a ten cent a day late charge.  Before a movie even goes to DVD I can put it on order and join the wait list for it.  This resource has saved tons of money for me over the years.

I prefer to rent movies and stay home to watch them, pop our own popcorn and have our own sodas, saves a bundle of money and we are more comfortable in our home!

The ticket prices alone are pretty ridiculous. I have to really want to see it on a big screen. Most of them time I watch them at home. Got Netflix a few months ago so now I'm getting a lot from that.

We tried not to go to the  theater but just very impatient because get so excited have to see it, takes a few months before it come out in DVD and every body talking about it already so we do both.

I love going to the movies but it is very expensive. Our theater has started doing $5 Tuesdays - any movie for $5 plus they have $2.50 concession special of soda and popcorn so for $7.50 I can go to the movies and have a soda and popcorn. My daughter and I were doing this quite often but since summer is here we have been quite busy and haven't gone for awhile. We also do Sunday night movie nights where her and I pick a movie on Netflix or Blockbuster and watch at home making snacks and enjoying being together.
