My Husband needs prayers please...

Please everyone...PRAY for my husband!! He was in the ER all day yesterday due to an injury at work! He almost lost his fingers!! He was handling a hedge trimmer at work and a co-worker turned it on while it was in his hand and ZIP!!! Sliced all fingers & part of his hand! A plastic surgeon came in to do surgery and now he will be out of work for 12 weeks! Please pray that his hand & fingers heal properly & that he does not lose mobility! If that happens, he won't be able to work! He works as a mechanic on big trucks & vehicles. I pray he gets better soon and that workers comp will help us with medical bills and keeping his salary! Thank you all!!!

I will certainly pray for your husband and am sorry to hear about what you both are going through.  I pray for a quick and speedy recovery and complete restoration of his mobility.  Hang in there and maintain faith that things are being worked out for you guys.

The company he works for will pay the medical bills.  He won't have to pay any of it.  Providing he works for a company and not just an individual.  And he will be able to draw workman's comp.  HE will not be responsible for ANY of the medical bills associated with the work injury.

Thank you all so much! It means a lot!! I have faith that workman's comp will pay for medical. Do you think they will cover his medication co-pays? They are not $3 & $5 anymore....our prescription plan jumped to $10 & $15 depending on the meds. It will add up. I think I should get a lawyer involved since it was the negligence of another co-worker. He works for a municipality, DPW. They better have good insurance.

I forgot to say how wonderful it is of you as a wife to ask for prayers on his behalf.  You can never have too many prayers; as previously stated it is indeed a powerful weapon.

Yes.  They will pay for the meds too.  It is work related.  And he won't have a co pay.  HIS insurance has NOTHING to do with it.  The company he works for - their insurance will pay for it.
He does not need to get a lawyer involved unless he is planning on suing the company.  And I am not sure how that will work with it being a coworker negligence.  And if he goes that route be prepared for them to do all they can to make it HIS fault and prove negligence on HIS part.  That is just how it works.  I guarantee they will not fight paying the medical bills.  But if he wants thousands above that then yeah they will fight back.

IF he were to lose total loss of that hand then I can see a law suit.  But we were believing God would not let that happen so that thought should not be entertained.  And workman's comp will pay him while he is off work.  Not just the medical bills.  YOU need to make sure his doctors and the ER know this was a work related injury.  It should never be turned in on your alls insurance.

I wish you the best and will certainly add a prayer for him. I've had family members who have had serious hand injuries but have been able to get them mended and regain use so there is a bright side. I'm glad you at least won't have financial issues during his recovery.

Thank you all again! And yes I know they will fight back but if the shears were placed in his hand at the time of the accident while his brainless co-worker turned it on, he would have NO hand right now. It would have severed the entire hand. The shears were placed on the table and shimmied and caught my husbands hand (as he asked the guy to make sure it was OFF - but he turned it on instead!). Regardless, I know the guy didn't do it on purpose, he came to my husband for help and that's what you get for trying to help someone. Oh well, ALL prayers are welcome and I know he will do better! It's all in God's hands now!
