A little guy attention

So I've made a new friend. I'm always shy when we skype, especially when we have nothing to talk about and end up staring at each other.

I definitely look forward to talk to him, but i don't like him in the way my friend think.

It's a happy feeling but, i think its more so, getting some guy attention for a change.

It's kinda nice.. BUt i dont really know what to think.

If you do not like him like for a boyfriend if you think he likes you in a girlfriend way and you are sure you do not feel the same way I would stop talking to him.  Been in that situation.  I kept telling him I only like you as a friend.  Then he comes up saying I led him on and telling everyone how horrible I was.  Guys are stupid!  No offense to the guys on here. lol. 

I would suggest texting instead of skype because that way if you hit a lull in what to talk about you are not just sitting there staring at each other with nothing to say.

And if you are just liking the attention from a guy that is not fair to him.  Especially if he could really start to like you.  Just be sure you tell him in actual words (lol) that you are only looking for a friend.  I am thinking of Tim Taylor on Home Improvement.  You gotta spell it out for them cause they don't get subtle hints. hehehe

Congratulations on making a new friend.  That's great.  :high five: Friends come in all shapes, sizes and genders.  If your other friends don't get it that's their small-minded problem.  Enjoy the friendly, supportive people that come into your life.  He's obviously enjoying some female attention too.  It is important to be straightforward with all friends, but you don't need to fearfully dump friends of the opposite gender.  That's silly and close-minded.  No wonder the world is such a mess with that kind of fearful thinking going on.  Good for you for not succumbing to such limiting behavior.

So I told him last night that we were just going to be friends. He said he knew already because my guy friends had told him already that I have no intention of dating anytime soon. So all this time I've been feeling bad like I was doing something wrong and leading him on, he already knew from the beginning..

I feel like the weights have been lifted.
