I rip old paper with my hands. I find that to be the best shredder going. I had a few shredders and they all broke.

I don't have a shredder and use the hand method.  If it is important papers, I seperate the pieces into different trash bags.

I ordered a shredder and it is already stuck.  I am cautious about identity theft, so I make sure my credentials are personally erased    :rainbow: :rose:.

I think we got ours at Walmart about 20 years ago.  I cannot remember not having it.  May have came from Office Max.  Anyway, they should last as long as you don't shred a ton at a time or too many pages at a time.  That will burn the motor in a hurry.

I have had one by 'Executive Machines' for several years.  It says it will take 5 pages, but I find any more than 3 doesn't work as well.

I think i will use a marker,  blacken out my information, rip the pages and put them in seperate bags. I am going to take a break
from buying shredders.

I just tear it up or burn it, I don't need a shredder!

I have the same problem with my shedder.  I had to buy three shedders in five years.

I wish I knew of an industrial shredder long before I'd spent the money on a few years ago.  Now we have a burn pit in our back yard so anything I want destroyed just goes up in smoke when we have bonfires.  Although this isn't possible for everyone so I understand your frustration.
